It sounds like your power lock actuator is bad/seized. Mine did the same thing on the passenger door. It took a while, but I eventually got it unlocked without breaking the key.

Your door lock could be rusted up or gunked up, silver is correct, you may need to remove the seat to get the door panel off, cheaper for you to do it then a shop. g/l
