What exactly does a shaker do?

a "shaker hood" is one of those hoods with a hole in the top
and the airfilter poking thru, like on the late model Mach1's

called a shaker cause you could see the airfilter shaking on
those old school muscle cars they first came out on

mixes martinis nah...like rbarn said...it goes through the hood and shakes from the engine vibration

Has anyone ever seen a shaker set up on a fox body? I've kinda been wandering if it would look right . Opinions anyone?

Looks bad and can leak water into your motor when it rains if it's not installed perfectly.[:'(]

in my opinion they look pretty bad i'd rather cut i hole in the hood and have the air cleaner sticking out.

Maybe if you could make a shaker cowl or hood scoop it would look good?

I cant see putting one on a fox body because of where the air intake is located.
