good luck unless your looking for 400 bucks per head. you would check out ebay but i think the cheapest al. head would be the gt40x head, or maybe, MAYBE eddie performer heads.

They have brand new ProComp aluminum heads assembled for like $850. If your talking $400 per head. But thats the cheapest decent head that will actually help you that i have found. The foundry work isnt the best but for the price they should do the job

hot all aluminum heads are ported

the "starter" alum. heads for $1000 a pair are just cast ports
the "nicer" alum heads with "CNC ported" runners are the AFR's and they cost $1,400 pair.

would recommend some GT-40Y aluminum heads you. They run about $450 each
decent entry level alum. head. The GT-40X's are little better but cost more, same with TrickFlow, more like $550 each.

pro comps components are better then any i have seen that come on the heads assembled. Heavy Duty. They could use a little hand work in the ports but thats easy to do. They are based out of australia and the race seen is way crazy there now.

Pro comp heads are cheap chinese heads distributed from austrailia. They are just victor jr knock offs with very cheap valve train parts. Pro topline heads which cost about the same are real austrailian heads which flow very well and most places you buy them from besides ebay have comp cam valve train parts. The problem with both pro topline and pro comp is they have 2.02 or larger intake valves that are too large for stock valve reliefs.

Negative. The Pro Comp foundry is notin China. And Pro Comp doesn't have "very cheap [valvetrain] parts". You cannot buy a set of assembled heads from Pro Comp. The manufacturer ONLY sells them bare. If they come with cheap valvetrain parts, then it's from the distributor who built them to resell.

Also, Pro Topline went bankrupt a few years back. RHS bought their stuff and Comp Cams now owns RHS. All the Pro Toplines you can still find for sale as "new" from a few places (one LARGE, WELL KNOWN shop specifically that I won't name) are blems. And Pro Topline was from Auckland, New Zealand, not Australia.
