OT: but not too OT (search feature)
I know Pro50 made a post about the search feature a few days ago and I had mentioned problems with it. It seems to be even worse now though. I'm not sure if someone can look into it, but the search feature seems to be completely hosed.
I was trying to find something i had previously posted. I did a search by keyworkd and user ut found nothing. So I removed the username and just did a search on the keyword (article" in the 5.0 section. Again it found nothing. So I changed it and did a keyword search on the word "article" in the entire forum and still came up with nothing.
Eventually I foudn what I was looking for because I had bookmarked the article I was looking for. So I made a post today and posted a link to the article. So just now I did another search for the word "article" in the entire forum and it came up empty again.
I recall recently reading another post in a different section where someone mantioned the screwed up search feature. Is this a known issue? It would kind of suck if our search feature was found to be unreliable. And I'd feel bad about telling noobs to search instead of posting... Well, maybe I wouldn't feel bad, but still! at least give them a fighting chance?
Anyone else notice this?

If someone came here and did a simple search they will often get few, if any, results.

Oh come on lucky, lol., I wasn't THAT far OT.
It is OT in the sense that it is not related to 5.0 technical information. But it does refer to the forums and subforums themselves, and it is in response to some other posts that were made here recently.

Same here...
I was looking for the post that I made when I installed my Shaker... no luck.
Simple searches for one or two words rarely give you a result... you usually have to search on 3 or more words to get any result.
I pretty much just browse the thread I think the post I am looking for is in and use the ^F feature of my browser anymore.
