You can buy gears pretty much anywhere. I buy mostly all my parts from Summit, especially cause its only 40 minutes from my house. Website is: www.summitracing.com

RE: 3:73 Gears
I always heard that fitment with other companies does not matter, its all about who installs them, etc. butthe shop who installed my gears had problems with them because they were motives and it took them alot longer, etc. They said that if they were FRPP that they would of slipped right in, not sure if thats true or not but just thought I would throw that out there. IfI were to do it again I would go FRPP. Also, dont forget to get your own fluid, you dont know what junk they are going to put in there. Also, geta good installation kit (the $110 FRPP kit from summitracing.com is the best that I have seen) and get a speedo gear while your at it. Most shops should install it for little cash or free when they are doing the gears. Good Luck.

If you get on e-bay you can buy a set from brenspeed with the gears and all of the bearings so you can do a complete rebuild and its only like 200 bucks. I actually didnt do this b/c i wasntgonna replace all of the bearings but ended up doin it anyways and costme about 250 in the end...wish i would have.

Make sure you get axle seals & bearings. I didnt think it was necessary but every shop that I called for the install highly recommend it.

Its not that Motives are cheap they are just going to require a little bit more work on the install. I was actually told by the shop who I took my gears too that Motives were better gears they just werent a direct replacement like the FRPP gears. He told me that the Motives had more meat too them, not sure if thats true or not though.
