Default starter

If the starter is good, the battery is charged , and relay is connected, why won't the car turnover at any point?

check the grounds, relays, fuses, etc. if all those seem fine then see if you can turn the crank manually. if can't turn it, the motor is locked up, if you can, keep on searching. good luck.

Yep, lay under the car and give the starter a few good knocks.

alright this is a friend of his giving him a hand (i mostly work on nissans and whatnot... feel free to flame away) , regardless heres the situation

-starter has been replaced and confirmed to work (started the car jumpering the signal wire to the hot wire...)
- 2nd starter solenoid was suspect (located on the wheel well), replaced it (weird things about ford, uses 2 solenoids... baffeled me).
-Yeilding the same result, the everything works with exception of the lead wire going hot and actuating the solenoid in the starter and the starter motor to spin.

possible ideas of problems
- some fuse (not sure where , im not familiar at all with mustangs... or ford for that part)
- starter lead wire is broken somewhere or has a short in the wire... or something causing it not to conduct... if this is the case i can reroute that wire... but to where as i have no manual for this car (if there is one wire that comes off the wheel well soleniod i can tap and route it to the starter solenoid).
-ignition switch has an issue, which is causing everything in the entire system to have to power when in the start position, but when clicked on the starting position power is cut to interior accessories like normal, so ignition switch is not too suspect...

for right now im pissed at the thing and tempted to run a wire to the inside and back into the engine bay completely by passing the entire system for a one of a kind push button start.

oh last possible solution... ITS A FORD.... J/J guys, dont take that one seriously

oh yes lastly, when the car is put into start position on the ignition there is a relay in the cabin that is clicking... telling me something is at least going on in there.

its really pretty simple, if the starter solenoid isnt gettign switched power when the key is in the start position, then look at the ignition switch as thats what sends power to the solenoid.

haha yeah. You pretty much answered youre own question. One last thing, check for open recalls, because my old 5.0 had a open safty recall for the ignition switch. Whats the VIN on that car? I have a program for work so i can run it and find out if you have any.
