Help me I might sell out to a Camaro
Ive got a 94 mustang with Cobra intake, 70 mm TB, BBK CAI, MAC shorty headers, 3.55 gears, aluminum driveshaft, BBK off-road h-pipe, and a Brand spanking new HD ford racing clutch just broken in. i went to the 1/8 mile track with my friend who has a 98 Firebird formula (LS1) with complete SLP intake and hooker cut off cat back.
this is what I ran: 60ft time:2.318
Trap MPH 70.6
Elapsed time 9.921
I missed the 3rd shift.
this was him against me:
60ft time : 2.501
elapsed time 9.400
trap speed: 80.7mph
I am starting to think of getting a Camaro LS1, but i dont want to cause i love my stang, but i love speed alot more. BTW my clutch was chattering like crazy past 5500rpm so im hoping i installed something wrong and its holding me back. but please someone smack me across the head and tell me that i suck at driving and that i could do better. If you guys think thats what i should have run then i dont know what ill do!!!!!

dont get the ls1 they are nightmares to work on for one. and they are just head aches buddy of mine got tired of his and bought a terminator. keep your stang you can make them faster than ls1's easily

The second set of numbers was his car?? If that's the case both of you need to cut down your 60' times majorly. I wonder how much that half second woulda been if you actually made your shift.

someone help me!!! i want to run at least 9.0. IS THIS POSSIBLE with my car how it is now. And how can I improve my 60 foot. and btw im looking at this: http://www.thumperoforangepark.com/. I really want to beat my friend's formula cause he has no respect for 5.0 and what they are capable of. cause if i go with a Camaro Ill have to dish out and extra like 2k after i sell my car. i would rather spend an extra 600 or so for heads and be faster or as fast as a camaro. you guys think its possible or should i still go for the LS1. its really bothering me cause i think the mustang looks sooooo much better. maybe i sould drop an LS1 in the mustang lol
