4.6 can hold more hp and they sound different i dunno if u like the way it sounds or not
5.0 are cheaper to mod no as complecated of an engine tho.... but if u got money hten get a 4.6 u can get tons of power outta them... hell hte 03-04 cobra have 400 hp stock and they dont have special setup... mild tune with like 6-8 pounds of boost from what i remember.... 700hp cobras are ez and pie to get... sound mean too... only one probably is the price tag... if money is no issue then 99+ with PI heads
the 96 arent very powerful 96-98 are kinda a waste... no offensive...

heres how i c it. the 4.6 is a great motor makes a lot of poewr while being very small the pi that is. but they just have no aftermarket and therefore dont really help themselves. the 5.0 is the racers choice cause u can do anythin to them. the 4.6 wins in sound though i have to say, if u have heard a 96 cobra w. o/r h u will never go back to the 5.0. but i love the 5.0 and truly they last forever. plus it sounds cooler when u say it... 5.0

I like the sound of mine (well it will sound nicer once I get my exhaust leak fixed).
