Most people do not run intake spacers for the power (Im sure its minimal) but they run them for clearance between manifolds & valve covers.

+1 and I run a 1" Trick Flow upper intake spacer, so my intake clears the valve covers.

Thats's the only reason I did it. I don't think you'll see any power gains.

3/8" intake spacer here.

Yes it keeps the upper intake MUCH cooler than without it.

I run a 1" spacer just so the intake clears my valve body. Any hp gain would be minimal imo but it does keep the upper intake much cooler. I can bare hand my upper intake almost imidiately after shutting the motor off

Does the intake have clearance issues on the hood? Do you have to have an aftermarket hood?

A 1" spacer will cut it REALLY close with an aftermarket intake on a stock hood.
