ok... forget everything you know about mass air meters... becasue everything you know... is ****..

STOCK FORD MAF sensors DO NOT HAVE A "Calibration"

you installed 24# injectors and ran a cobra maf.. right? The 3.8l v6, GT 5.0 and Cobra 5.0 MAF's are all the same... the reason why you ran too rich is because your COMPUTER was not tuned for the injectors.

Your stock MAF is 70mm

im really getting sick of telling people the same stuff.. over and over and over again

As a general rule your MAF metershould be bigger than your throttle body.

Don't take Adder's comments personally. I don't think he meant to attack you personally. I feel his frustration as well, as this subject confuses so many people and causes a lot of problems for Mustang owners.

As for the 'cobra' MAF not bolting in to your CAI...
What year was the Cobra MAF pulled from?
It is possible that later model Cobras used larger MAF meters, maybe you have an 80mm or something.
The 94-95 Cobras were 70mm, but I can't say for sure what happened after 96.

im pretty sure the 96+ mafs WILL NOT work without an ECM reflash or tweecing of the MAF transfer function
