i have an AODE from a 95 gt thats gonna need to be rebuilt and hold 450hp N/A. i called a guy that rebuilds trannys and drag raced for like 35 yrs. told me $1,300 for basic rebuild...comes with tq converter... he said the needs to look at it to be sure on what needs to be done.
$1,750 for a PA tranny that will hold 450hp
or would it be possible to me to do it myself?

when i bought the car cylinder #4 was dead... it would take off but you tell it was bogging and would hit about 3000rpms and wouldnt shift into 2nd...let off the gas and it would shift...put it to the floor...it downshift and would hit about 3300-3400 and wouldnt shift till you let off...dont kno what wrong with it...couldnt get over 70 with it.

a 450 hp motor will require a higher stall convertor... so any stock one that comes with a plain rebuild will be worthless.. if it were me i would get one from PA there service is top notch

 

ive been looking at PA's and a Edge Racing converter 3000rpm...kinda hefty for my budget...
