Engine hardly running.....need quick help
Ok....today i went to scan my computer on my car, Hooked all the wires up and when i went to hook the "jumper" wire from the self test connector to the "sti"(self test input-wire), i didnt pay attention and gabbed another single wire(black with orange stripe) and plugged it in, when i did so it sparked and i pulled it quickly. I didnt think much of it and hooked up the jumper wire correctly, and it never threw no codes, and i got wondering.......... So the i decided to fire up my car, and when i did it ran like complete sh*t...... So hopefully someone has some ideas as to what happened, i called and Ford place and they sais its highly unlikely that i fried the computer or anything,
Thanks for the ideas..

RE: NEED HELP.............BADLY
i dont know where itslocated on the fox but yes its possible... the connector you spoke of is connecting your scanner to the ecm "brain" box and it doesnt take much to mess it up ... lets say a spark? hopefully whatever circuit it was had a fusible link ...

Sounds like it f'd your computer... I had a buddy try to do a diagnostic check on his car at Advance Auto and it never would scan and the car never would start after they hooked the machine to it... Burned the computer up in it
