Default will i need a cowl hood ?????

i have heard that if u run a 1" spacer on a trickflow intake that u will have to run a cowl hood. im asking because i am runnin tfs twisted wedges a trickflow intake and roller rockers so have to run taller valve covers so then a spacer and i heard a 3/8 isn't enough anybody with the same stuff what did u have to do???

well I RUN a 1" spacer with my gt-40 and it's all under the stock hood

really i dont know where i heard that but someone said the trickflow is taller than others but i dont know so im trying to find out anybody runnin trickflow stuff??????????

it says overall height to flange is 10.2 so how tall is the stock curious??

i have an edelbrock performer II upper and lower w/ a 1" spacer and there is NO WAY it would have fit under a stock hood. Look at my sig it sticks up far. Good luck

I run an 1" spacer with a GT40 lower and a Comp Cams polymer upper. If you just run a roller rockers you don't need any taller valve covers. I'm running taller valve covers because I'm also running rocker stud girdles. The stock hood had no chance of closing, so I made my own cowl out of the stock hood.

My Track Heat setup and solid mounts that raised the engine 1/2" caused hell with clearance...You'll need a cowl.
