Fight it. A friend of mine had the same thing happen, somone tryed to pull a u turn, car in front of him could stop faster than he could. He got out of it, just had to pay some of the fine

i wasnt followin that close i just couldnt stop as quick as the person infront of me. I had about 75 feet to go from 45-0 and i was down to about 10 or 15 mph by the time i hit her so it wasnt to bad for her but my hood was prettry bad and so was the front end

dont panic, at least your ok.
Go to court and extend the court date long as you can.
After her car is paid for by you or the insurance, the prosecutor will dismiss the ticket, with police officer appearing and agreeing.
However, the insurance does not care about the charge being gone, an accident will remain in your name for at least 5 years, so you cant win for losing
my rule of thumb, 2 car lengths away.
Go to court and extend the court date long as you can.

my mom backed into my car today it was setting in the driveway[:@]400.00 fiberglass hood now junk also killed my headlight and bumper cover and support BLACK SUNDAY is this some kind of communist plot against foxbody??!!!

Ameteorite hit my car today, all I have left is a pony centercap and my gas filler tube... I am so pissed I can't even think straight....
Ok so I was joking trying to make light of the situation... That bumper doesnt look bad at all, just needs a fresh coat of paint, new headlights ($120 ebay) and a hood ($50 boneyard) and your back in business.
Dont look at it as a bad thing, Its kinda like blowing up your motor, or having a worn out suspension part.... Its an excellent reason for an upgrade! Maybe a new paint scheme in the works, or time for a Cobra Ground Effects Kit... just my .02
