In the market for a fox.
I'm planning on buying a 90-93 stang. I'm not too familiar with late models. I would like a car thats stock or close to it and with under 80k miles. I'd like to stay under $10k.Either a GT or LX 5.0.I'm just asking for some general pointers and tips when shopping for these cars. Basically, what aresome things I should look out for, common problem areas etc.

RE: In the market for a fox.
coolant on the passenger side floor / leaks near firewall on passenger side... you will be able to tell pretty easy
another area to check is torque boxes. the rear control arms attach to these points and they get banged up under high torque
of course just look at body panels and see if they line up straight, check for rust. these engines dont really have major mechanical issues especially at 80k.. check for oil around where the tranny and motor meet (rear main seal)

You'll find a great fox for under $10k no problems there! But Hey,Have you ever consider a 94-95 sn95 with the 5.0? You'll get alittle of both worlds and some really nice upgrades..........I 'm very happy with my 95...Anyway I hope you find what your L@@King for!!!
