I can't believe I waited so long to do gears!!!
Oh man! I just got my Mustang back from putting gears in and it's like a totally different car. I went from 2.73 to 3.55 and I can't believe the difference. 1st-3rd is just insane and 5th gear pulls like 3rd used to. The drivability is awesome! If anyone out there is still rockin' 2.73s or 3.08s I can't recommend the upgrade strong enough. The thing just rips. Best $$ I've spent so far.

4.10s would be a huge difference I'm sure. I'm just floored by the difference it made. It woke the car right up, you just rip through the gears now...there's no delay. Shift, shift, shift, and you're doing 80mph. I'm starting to sound like that guy selling Oxy-clean. It's an awesome mod though.

Congrats man...I totally agree with you. I just got my 3:73 in. I barely broke them in at 200 miles on them...and I'm doing the H/C/I already...
But ya..gears rule...no doubt...5th does feel like 3rd on the highway..lol...

I want to boost it down the road...and then when I blow the motor from that, it's 347 time. [sm=drooldude.gif]Just building for the future and I figured that the difference between 3.55 and 3.73 wouldn't be that huge. It's just my weekend car I take to work once in a while and on some highway trips soI didn't think I'd be gaining all that much with the higher gear.

I asked the guy about break in and he said if I was just driving around town, back and forth to work not to worry about it. He did recommend against driving to Florida with it immediately until I have 500 miles on the gears. Must be something to do with the heat generated or something. I asked him how long before I can do some donuts and he just kind of leered at me. I had to tell him I was kidding.
