Driving before dyno tune ? Bad idea ?
First off.....Is it fine to let my car run for awhile so i can see if everything is workin fine without o2's in ? I just wanna see if it warms up properly and doesnt over heat and such....
And if all goes fine there, when i get an H pipe, will it be okay to drive it up to the tuner ? Or will it be a better idea to drive it around a bit to see if everything is gonna be fine so if it isnt and i get it tuned then i wont be wasting my money on a tune..
I can always get it towed up to the dyno, its only about a 45 minute drive. Any input ?

What's done to the car requiring a tune? As long as you don't drive it like you stole it you should be fine for testing the waters of w/e you've done to it.

TFS stage 1 cam, gt40p heads, tfs street intake, pulleys, adj fpr, headers, no smog, no ac, etc.....
When i started it, it actually ran pretty good, idled decent and all, didnt jump around too much. The only reason i didnt let it run much is because i didnt have a belt on it and it was redic. loud with open shortys. But i'll put on a new belt and let her run at idle and see how everything goes. I kindof want to put on an H pipe before i drive it anywhere.

That set up really doesn't need a dyno tune...more than likey if you run stock fuel pressure and 14 degrees of timing a tune wouldn't offer you much more than handfull of HP literally. MANY MANYpeople run HCI cars and never see a set of rollers, you have nothing to worry abou..save your cash for your next mods.

i would drive it around and see if the computer will tolerate the stg1 cam. if does i would be happy it means you will save a little bit of money on tuning time. if the car isn't surging i would probably take it to them have them do a few pulls, set the timing and fuel pressure and be done with it.
