Looking to lower 89 Hatch 1 inch front and rear
I don't want to go much lower with the crappy roads around here. I know ford claims the "B" and "C" springs are around an inch, but others who have installed them say it is more like 1.5 inches.
I don't understand what the different spring rates will do to affect the handling. So Knowing I want to lower it around an inch, I assume I want progressive rates, what do you recommend I buy?

Oh, and the car in the pic, the right side is sitting lower in a small dip do to uneven ground, on concrete the rear is not that high.
Just looking for help on understanding how different spring rates will affect handling, so I can decide which springs to buy. I am also buying rear upr control arms, and strange 10 way adjustables. Just need to decide on springs.

C springs pictured below with 245/45/17's. Yeah, it rides like a logwaggon. But I have never seen a lincoln that could handle...... In other words, you are going to sacrifice ride quality for handling ability. There are ways to set it up to get both worlds. Tyipcally this is called "stock suspension in good condition".......
