EGR Simulator?
I was told that there are egr simulators out there that you can get to pretty much cap off the egr but at the same time hooks into the harness so that it fools the computer into thinking that the egr is actually working. so pretty much im guessing it allows for more power and keeps the check engine light from coming on.
sounds great (and illegal) but does something like this actually work? has anyone else heard of these?

I have one I will sell you....my tuner turned off the EGR in my chip so I dont need the simulator anymore to keep the check engine light away. They go for 34.95 I believe on ebay (at least it was when I bought it)....ill sell for 25
All it is going to do is keep your CEL from coming on if you have removed your EGR. You're not going to get any power gains or anything for it. Most people remove the EGR for one of two reasons:
1) They got a different intake or added a spacer and the EGR no longer fits properly (my situation)
2) They simply want to clean up the engine bay a bit.
If your EGR is attached and working properly, no sense playing with a simulator.
I never actually attached a simulator for my setup. I just shut it off when I tuned the computer.

I have one and I still have a light for the for the egr.
I have one and I still have a light for the for the egr.
There are several conditions that will cause the cel to come on.
This would be the first time I have heard of a simulator not working.
Perhaps it is defective?

I was planning on getting one to turn off the light, but i still dont know if i'm takin it to the tuner or not, gotta see how i can get it running myself first. They are about 17 bones shipped on ebay now, pretty cheap. But someone above said their light is still on from the egr.....Makes me not wanna get one. but in the ebay listing it says gaurentees to turn light off or money back.....
