Hmm a muscle car from detroit and a fox body from the late 80's. Not even remotely comparable. The only fox body that is and will command decent money is the 93 cobra. Not an 87 with t-tops. Please

the thing is in the future the car will be rare look at the cars from the 60's and early 70's ones with certain things like t-tops are worth so much more the fox is gunna be one of those in the future.
i would hang on to the car if i were you go ahead and mod it just keep the stock parts. and if you put a shift kit in the tranny you will be set that will change the car so much and a set of 4.10 gears in the rear

Theres no real demand for a t-top car, dont get folled into believing that, its just another fox body

So $10,000 for a 20 year old car isn't decent to you?

youre right. an 87 with t-tops wont be. but his 88 with t-tops might be. there were only 281 t-top mustangs in 88 as stated above. then, narrow it down with other options it has. car could be 1 of 10 or something like that. 20 years from now that car could be worth some money. it is deffanitly a possability.

i am. what about all the 289 4v mustang's from the 60's... there were hundreds and thousands of those things made and today they sell for 30-40k if not more. nothing special about them. just auto v8 pony cars with good millage and a nice clean restorations. think about it though. those old muscle cars and stuff are old muscle cars to us.. but.. 20 or 30 years from now.. the 80's mustangs and corvettes and camaro's and firebirds and trans-ams are gonna be the musclecars to that generation and the 70 chevelles and hemi cudas and torino talladegas and boss 9 mustangsare just gonna be old classics like the 32 fords and 41 *****'s and stuff are to us nowadays. think about it.

frdmstng1986GT is right. in the 80's kids like us were buying the late 60's early 70's muscle cars and dumping mods into them just like now we are buying the 80's and 90's cars and doing the same thing. there are fewer and fewer stock foxes out there. production numbers were high back then just like in the 80's and 90's now what would make them worth so much money now? becase people want the original stock car that hasnt been beaten on the same thing is gunna happen with these foxes and comaros and vettes

RE: t-tops rare or not
I absolutely love my 86 T-Top GT. I never see a Fox in my area w/ T-Tops. I've actually had people come up to me and ask if Ford ever made a T-Top mustang. I guess people think I did it myself or something...? So that tells me that they are "rare".

You guys live in a fantasy world, is one of you guys the one who bought that grilled cheese sandwich with the jesus face on it from ebay? The 93 cobra is the ONLY fox with any ascertainable value right now and down the road. Not some run of the mill bone stock 87 fox with t-tops, but you know what they say, a fool and his money......

RE: t-tops rare or not
thats such bs(408guy) im sorry but the t-tops were rare back when they were made and they still are. ive seen way more 93 cobras than 87 t-top. i only know one guy that has one and its pretty nice. they are going to be collector cars but thats something you dont need to worry about cause YOU DONT HAVE ONE. so just let it go.http://www.utahstangs.org/ownerpicdir/montstr.htm
