Anyone had their Tremec pro shifted, so it will go in gear at high rpms?
if so.. where did you have it done? and how much did it cost?
and after you got it pro shifted, did you wish you would have just put an auto in it?
im trying to decide on , having my tremec pro shifted or, just put a power glide in it..
it runs 6.80s in the 1/8 N/A 408 and i was thinking about putting a little bit bigger camshaft in it, but i cant do that because its hard to go in gear at the rpms im running now.
any comments? thanks.

just guessingat higher RPMs the gears start to chatter and wont go in gear because of the splines in the gears are too close together, and the higher you rev it, the more the window closes for you to get it in gear. alot of people that had old 4 speed cars back in the day... used to grind every other gear off, so it would go in gear at higher rpms. but driving it on the street at low rpms they might grind going in gear.
at higher rpms shifting, its like you hit a block, it just wont go in gear..
i dont manually miss a gear, im shifting right, but the transmission just wont go in gear.

It bascily has straight cut gears and the sycros are worked over, it really is not for a street drivin car. My buddy runs one in his NMRA F/S car and it shifts awsome, super easy at high RPMs but honestly if it were me and I was doing a drag only car that did not hace fit into a class I would go auto with a big stall and a brake.
