hey man, if you redo the headgaskets, always replace the head bolts, they are under tremendous pressure and torque for many years on end. it is worth the extra 40 bucks to replace them when you have the chance.
got that bit of info from my grandpa who was a hotrodder from wayback.had a 68 GT back in the '70s. had a cam, long tube headers with an open exhaust, 850 Holley, that engine was built. he never had it dynoed but when you mash the gas it would smoke the tires through the first two gears...
sadly it was wrecked some 10 years before I was born. a dumb *** in a garbage truck backed into it and bent the framerails...

Well I don't even know if I can get the engine because of how long its taking my dad to take it out of a trailer. I might have to find a diffrent engine
