RE: Whats dose it mean?
depends on your mechanical ability, but in the end its nothing but unplugging crap and unbolting bolts, and then everything in reverse. nothing is impossible, just dont let it overwhelm you. you'll save hundreds and hundreds of dollars in labor, and maybe you can do soemthing to add a little oomph while your in there

My friend just blew his head gasket last week. It will probably take a day or a weekend to replace one or two head gaskets. Like 77stang said its just a lot of mundane unbolting and undoing you gotta do, then you gotta do it all in reverse. It shouldn't be too expensive

the head gaskets should be around 30-40 dollars.
50resto is a great place to get stuff from

RE: Whats dose it mean?
i bought a headgasket kit from oreillys (fel-pro) and i believe it was $85 for the kit..
thats everything from the heads up..
good head bolts are $45.. but HOPEFULLY you wont need any..the FIRST time i pulled my heads, it was because my head gasket was blown, because a head bolt had broken off.
as far as having someone do it for you.. a shop could charge you anywhere from $400-$600 and up
just depends where you go..
