I got one for you when me and a buddy of mine ran our own shop.I had to do valve cover gaskets on a 300Z.I removed the hood to make it easier.I replaced the valve cover gaskets got everything back together.I installed the hood reconnected the washer hose to the hood.Started up the car it ran for about a minute and a half then stalled.Come to find out I mixed up the vaccum hose and the washer jet hose. The engine sucked the washer bottle dry.Locked the engine solid. After buying time from the used car dealer we were repairing it for I found 1 rod bent. After a month of waiting for parts putting it back together following torque specs to the T.One of the head bolts strip out.Had to remove the head again and heil a coil it and put back together. Finally got it done and running good.We sent it back to the dealer everything was good. Here's the kicker about 2 weeks later I see it coming on a flat bed next to us to the body shop.Come to find out the car was stolen from the dealer and then wrecked and totaled.
So thats my story.

this is not on a car but..once i was doing road work on i-40 in oklahoma city.. it was only a month long job till our regular work order was ready to repair a bridge in ponca city..so we went and rented a backhoe and tools .etc..seice at the time we did not know how long the job was going to take we rented the hoe by the week..ok..a few weeks later a truck and trailer pulls up and says that they are from the reantal company and they where called out to get the hoe..ok..no big problem..so me and a few of the other workers helped this man load the hoe..we was almost donw with the job so we figured it was time for it to go...we had used the hoe for and was done with it...but we still had 2 weeks worth of work to do by hand..a week later it was raining out so we all are in the feild house and the phone rings..it was the rental company wanting to know if we are need ing the hoe anymore and if so we nned to go pay for more weeks...well turned out that man that picked the hoe up was a thive...and stole the hoe...we helped tham man load the dam thing..it was kool..,.lol
when i was just learning about cars. my dad was teaching me how to change the oil in my 86 gt. when i was taking off the drain plug, i stripped the pan and ripped off the threads on the plug. we found it easier to get a bigger plug than to change the pan.
That tops em all!!! LOL

Hmmmm... I did a clutch job once and forgot to put the starter / tranny shield back between the tranny & the engine
Had to pull everything back off and re-install it. Put a head gasket on a DOHC Ztech engine and forgot to put the timing back tensioner back on it until I had everything else back on and just had to reinstall the dust cover... then didn't wanna take the cams back off so I'd just take off the gears... long story short the cam gears don't have a groove in them to align themselves to the cams... so I had to order a special Ford tool to set the cam timing and it took 3 weeks to get it from CANADA! because Ford didn't sell theirs to the public and no shop (that I knew people at) had one.
