Every once in a while, maybe once every week or two, Ill drive my car for a bit then shut it down. When i come back from wherever i was and try to start it, it starts, then immediately dies, even when the engine is still warmed up. It will do this for about 3 or 4 tries, and then itll get going and i usually have to give it gas to keep it running. It runs real ruff and is not clean. After i drive it for a good 5 min it usually clears up, anybody know wats goin on?

try cleaning the IAC and the throttle body with some carb cleaner and see if this doesn't help some.

 

My friend has an audi 90 quattro 20v that does the same thing, but there is so much wrong with it we don't know where to start. I'd say try the idle throttle body for sure.
