i rebuild alot of these trannys and regular mercon 3 isn't realy all that good of a fluid... and GM syncromesh can be bought at a GM dealer, hence the name of the fluid
Haha, wisea$$. I was hopin to save a few bucks cuz i get my 20% discount and all at advance auto, do you know of any synthetic fluid that they would carry ( I should know this, but i dont deal with tranny fluid much at all for some reason......)

mobil one synthetic, is prolly carried at your work, the GM stuff was like 35$ and i have some left over, just stick with a decent name brand and you'll be ok with the fluid... don't just get like the cheap "house" brand ****

I bought some penzoil syncromesh today, hope that'll do that job. I just gotta wait for another quart to come in cuz there was only 2, so i need another 1.5 pints. Also bought some lucas 80-90 for the rear. I should have her out when this stupid a$$ ohio weather goes away.

ive been using that b&m trick shift fluid and its preety good. seems the same as all the top brands though, its just greenish blue instead of red. i have seen dyno proof that royal purple in the motor, tranny and rearend will add 8 horse power.
