Default trak lock rebuild

hey guys, i was just wondering if anyone could give me a price quote on what a mechanic would charge on a trak lock rebuild, im gonna buy the kit off summitracing, or 50resto and just have them install it. Any clues?

lol, well if your having a mechanic do the labor on rebuilding it, it would prolly be about the same price to buy a new one, i'm assuming your gunna take it out and bring it into the shop

lol, y do you want it rebuilt??? this is a nbig project and would take atleast half the day, you have to remove the rear brakes (disc at leat not sure about drums) , open the rear, and pull the diff, and then rebuild it and replace it... so figure 5 hours (for removal and install on the diff.) at 65$ an hour these 325$ plus the time it takes to actualy rebuild the differential

94GTcoupe. If he does not feel comfortable with his level of mechanical skills.. opening up the rear end is DEFINITLY not for him...

bring it to a mechanic and let them fix it

thats kinda a silly question. would you rather have your horsepower going to 1 wheel, or two?
