Default March Ram Air and Pulley Kit

My 91 LX is pretty much stock. Do you think the March Ram Air and Pulley Kit would be a good thing to get. And would I notice the power difference?

would the pulleys be for both smog and ac, or just one of the two? But yeah I think a ram air is supposed to be something like 15-25 hp boost (supposedly).

do not bother with the ram air system, but DEFINATELY get the pulleys. the 'ramming' of the air does not take place until you are going about 90 MPH, only then you will see the RAM air effect which are not big gains in that case. IMO get just the pulleys, get a set of Autospecialties underdrives from summitracing.com and with the extra money buy yourself a cold air intake from EBAY.com for 50 bux, you should have 80 bucks left over, get yourself MSD wires and a blaster coil. you will see a good power increase and better gas mileage. hope it helps.

the kit comes with alt. water pump, and crank - the pulleys are fine but the ram air is a complete waste i learned the hard way and bought it and i noticed no power gains, there is the same kit without the ram air and just the pulleys tho.

Oh sorry 88_5.0
But I have to agree with the above statements that the ram air kit is only good at high speeds, like 90 mph or faster.
The other thing is, you have to be careful around puddles. The opening is down low in the front, and water can get in there. Will it make it to the motor? Probably not, but you want to take that chance? I wouldn't

i know that it's only functional at higher speeds but i usually don't cruise at 90mph and it is pretty easy to get ripped off coming out of a driveway or somethin but i never experienced water problems i just didn't want him to make the same mistake i did just get a nice cold air kit cz the march kit isn's the best lookin with the dull junk plastic

ya bet a BBK colr air ibtake and the pulleys man, and if you get the igniton mods, run premuim fuel, its more expensive but in return........... you can run higher timing for more power, it will brun cleaner for less carbon buildup, and it burns slower and more completely so you will be getting better gas mileage and combustion i would reccomend the 6al igniton which comes with coil for arounf 250 bucks, it has a built in rev limiter and sparks 6 times per fire instead of one, then above 3500rpm it gives one powerful spark
