Novi 1000's are on the same level as a SC trim, same with the Novi 2000 and the S trim. They are not the same, but similiar. The 1000's and SC trims are both entry level superchargeres. If you only want to make 8psi you can go with the 1000 if you wanted. Depending on setup they will typically build 5-6psi, add a power pipe and a crank pulley and you shuldnt have any problems hitting 10psi (once again, depending on setup).

Whats up guys, I am looking to boost my car to meet my hp/trq. goals. I want to make high 300's with both or low 400's. Ive heard that the vortech s trims are fantastic, but what exact model will be reliable and give me the best results? If there are any other superchargers out there that are better, please let me know about them. I heard the Paxton NOVI 2000 is great too, however i cannot find them nor do i hear about them as much as i hear about the vortechs. My current mods are in my signature, and i now have glasspacks instead of the horrible flowmasters that i used to run. Along with a supercharging kit, what else will i need to buy? Examples like what fuel injectors and any other little things.

If any of you boosting guys have any tips for me, let me know, i am going to attempt to do the job myself... so if you have any info, send it my way!

thanks, 93-5.0
umm.. yea novi 2000 is way more than ull need unless u want 800hp lol.... its ive seen it rated at up to 1000hp so yea.... but its wat better than an s-trim... but u will pay for it... and u dont need nemore than an s-trim or a novi 1000... so dont pay extra for something u wont use u know.... keep in mind u will have to factor all the xtras u need into the price... many fuel ****... do you research... its not cheap.... but all ull need is an s-trim or a novi 1000 which are both pretty good and what not...

F*ck S/C's

9 psi turbo on bone stock motor will get you what you want
and make a ton more torque.

With 3 x's the piping, 3x's the complexity and 3x's the price. Dont get me wrong, I LOVVVVVVE turbo's. If I had 5g's laying around that would be the FIRST thing I would buy. But if you are looking to spend 2K an entry level blower will do fine.

Couldn't agree with that statement more. I was looking at buying a turbo, but its the money... I spent a total of 2k on my Vortech V1 S-trim, that's with injectors and all that fuel stuff.

i payed 1600 for mine. 6psi then i put about 400 more (injectors, powerpipe, crank pulley) into it and should get about 10psi. and you can run 10psi on a stock motor if you play it safe. there are people out there doing it.
