Default Hidden kill switch?

I am looking to install a hidden switch to prevent my car from being stolen and wanted to see if anyone has installed one and how they went about it.

Thanks for any info.

Default RE: Hidden kill switch?

Just tap the ignition switch wire and hide the kill switch,

If a pro gets ahold of your car, a hidden switch will likely not work unless you hide it in a really unique place. Besides, you want to have it easy to get to and not so obvious for anyone who sees you start it.
The trick is to use an existing switch.
The seatbelt switch is perfect. Only a crook worried about safety would figure that out.
The cigarette lighter is another good one. Just remove the heating element to keep it from popping out......blamo
I have one coming on the alarm (tied into the PCM's power circuit)
I thought about buying a headlight switch from Texas Mustang with a fog light toggle on it (my lx don't have fogs). Then just use the existing harness to wirethe fuel pump, ignition module, PCM power... whatever. Wire it in series with the seatbelt and now in order for your car to drive away, the seat belt must be buckled and the "fog lights" must be on...

of course, i just gave away my secrets, [:@] but my point is that there are many clever and perhaps more effective ways to keep it in your driveway.

Thanks shaners, that sound like what I am wanting to do. I have looked at some of the racing kill switches with a plastic key you can remove, but don't want to open the hood everytime I get in or out of the car.
