secondary air system???Wtf?
ok i ran codes on my car, because she runs like ****... usually i have a general idea on what i need to look at or fix, but im at a loss
well heres what i came up with
koeo-11(system passed)
koer-21(ECT out of range), 94(Secondary Air Injection Inoperative. bank two, driver side), 44(Secondary Air System Inoperative. bank one, passenger side), 33(EGR Valve Opening Not Detected)
balance test-all passed
so wtf? im going right now to get a ect sensor, and a vac guage(maybe it has a vac problem???) what should vacumm at idle be??
as for the egr not opening, its brand new...

If I recall correctly, those "Secondary" codes are related to your Smog pump. You may want to check and make sure the lines aren't clogged at the heads or something like that. Or perhaps it is just a simple vacuum issue (as a vacuum problem could cause smog and EGR problems.)
I'm probably a bad example to use due to engine mods, but at idle, my vacuum is 15" - 16". I think stock is somewhere at or just above that level, but not by much. One thing is for sure... you don't want much less.

was the car warmed up all the way when you ran the KOER? if not you will get the ECT code. And the air injection is related to the smog pump. My car throws the same code 44but passes smog just fine.... still haven't figured out why it does.

right, im gonna go get a vac guage in a few min... i have a feeling it is a problem w. the valves/ or w.e. u wanna call them behind the pass side strut tower.. atleast this is info im getting from another small block ford tech site, lol.

Out of curiousity, when you put the EGR back on or put everything together, are you sure you placed all the vacuum lines back in place? There's a harness / cluster that has multiple vacuum lines that connect to it. It relates to teh smog pump and EGR. That may be cracked, broken, or disconnected.

yup put it all back how it was... i dont see any potential vac leaks but that doesnt mean i don thave one, im gonna put a guage on it and see... i just tested the egr vac reg, TAB,and TAD and the TAB had power going in, and nothing coming out... i think this is a problem. im gonna replace it i guess, and again, check vac...
