Default Tranny fluid PROBLEM

well last night i was all ready to get my tranny fluid in untill i tried to use the POS pump thing we bought. that didnt work so we tried pouring through the shifter porthole. all was well untill i notice that all the fluid that was going in was comeing right out of where the driveshaft yoke is supposed to go in. so now im stuck on how i should get my tranny fluid in.

Anyone know of a way to get it in WHILE its in the car. i know big mistake shouldve put it in while it was out huh?

I just did mine, big pita. I had it up on a lift and i stood under neath and had a heater hose comin down from the engine bay and jamed into the fill hole so it was nice n tight so it couldnt leak out and had a funnel on top, so it was gravity fed, while a friend poured it in the funnel. I tried to use siphon pump too, didnt work whatsoever.

Would that work with the driveshaft fully out? you think i could do it on jackstands instead of a lift?

I've never taken my driveshaft out or tranny out, but isnt there a rear seal in the tranny ? If not then i dont see why having the driveshaft out should affect the fluid going in.

well if the fluid came out from me putting the fluid in there the shifter port is do you think there is some type of blocker or baracade blocking the fluid from going back that far? because the fill hole is up a couple of inches from there.

I'm not too sure what port your talking about, as far as i knew the only fill port was right above the drain hole. I'd just fill it up threw that one. Just use a funnel from the engine bay and hold it up high so gravity takes the fluid down and hold the hose in the fill hole. The hose i used jambed in there nicely so nothing could leak around the edges while filling it.

what i ment buy shifter port was where you take off the shifter and there is the little metal black with a hole in it atached to a rod that goes into the tranny. this is looking from the inside. here i have a pick of it.

I have an 86 GT that I just filled with tranny fluid after it was reinstalled in the vehicle. Go to a local hardware or lawn and garden store. Pick up a manual pump, that looks close to a grease gun. It has a tube that comes off of one end, and a cap with a t handle that screws off. Fill up the pump with tranny fluid but leave about 2 inches from the top and screw the cap back on. The t handle has a rubber "pusher" that pushes the fluid down and through the hose. I did this with mine, had to fill the little pump like 5 times or so, but man was it easier than tryin to siphon it in. I can't find a pic or i'd link one on here for you. It only cost me like $15.
