Default Stroking the 302?

whats up. first off im a new member and this is my first post. i drive a honda prelude (please dont hate me), but will soon be taking my dad's full size chateau club wagon van that has a 302 in it. i'll prolly be rebuilding it and was wondering how easily it is to stroke it? i guess its easy...but how cheap is it? i'll be using this van to haul the race car so i'm looking to add more tq. is there a good mild cam yall would recomend for some easy power? how much can you stroke the 302 to? also, are there any other mods yall would recommend? preciate it.

Default Stroking the 302?

If it were me and I had to pick between a stroker kit and heads, I'd go with the heads.
347 is a common stroker kit.
Get a set of AFR 165 heads, or Edelbrock Performers.
Mild cam would be what, B303? Or possibly even the stock 5.0 HO cam?

Default Stroking the 302?

I'd go with a very reliable 331 with flat tops, cam lift around 500, afr or close to it,performer or professional products intake, non equal length header' to help with low end torgue. a 2000-2500 stall convertor with the biggest trans cooler you can fit on it. lowering the van with also help with gas mileage, tongue weight and being more stable at highway speed..hope this helps

the heads and cam are better than stroking it if this will be you car hauler. less to worry about. and intake and new carb would help.

exhaust deff helps with torque with the right set-up...headers/h,x-pipe/flowmasters, etc. also look at getting the right gears with the combo of lowering the vehicle from a post above should help gas mileage...
