I have a 89 5.0 and recently I have been having problems starting it.. For example... if i were to go out in the morning and start my car, it wouldfire upright away... but if i go somewhere, shut it off and try to start it again i have to crank it once and let it putter out.... then when i hold my foot on the gas pedal (to the floor) i crank it and it will start up.... Also my car will feel like it is going to die and the check engine light will come on. After awhile of keeping the rpm's up my light will go off and it will be fine to drive..... Please if anyone has an idea of what my problem could be your answers are welcomed... THANKS

The first step is to pull the codes and see what it says. You can either have a garage do it for you, you can spend $30 and but the scanner at Autozone, or you can do it yourself with a paperclip and a little work. But that is a great first step. Once you have those results, we can offer better advice.
