do any of you know if there is a difference between a automaticconsole and a stick shift one?? here is why i ask i put a b&m hammer in my 89 notch that was origonaly a 4cly stick car but the indicator arm on the shifter hits the top trim plate that has the indicator in it i wonder if a stick console dosen't sit as high up as an auto??? help

I think the bezel that goes around the shifter area is different, but I have never heard of any other difference.

hmmm well they give you a new bezel with the hammer shifter and i compared there's with the factory one and they are the same???[&:]i will find an auto car and measurethe hieght

the console is the same, just the bezel is different

Well the stick sits lower because it is only a flat bezel with a cutout for the shift boot, The B&M bezel has an extra piece for the gear select indicator and should have an arm that comes off the shifter mech itself that slides back and forth

the arm that moves the slider sticks up so high that when i put it in second it pushes up on the bezel and binds?? i have it bent down now so i can shift till i find out whats up it is like the arm is to long[sm=headbang.gif]
