Might look into getting the tracction lok rebuilt too. With 170K miles, the clutches are probably toast. Then see how your 60ft times are. DONT drop the air pressure on regular street tires, avoid the water and only spin them a bit to clean the rocks off before the launch. You might work on riding the clutch out of the hole too. You should be able to get some sub 2.2 60 ft times.

Be sure to get a set of sticky tires first and foremost. Then try raising your launch rpm's to about 4500-5000. Will make a ton of differance, trust me. I did split my T-5 case by doing this , but I had a ton of mods done to my old fox body. Stock suspension really sucks da big one too.

Also, stage the car as shallow as possible by just barely turning the second (stage)light on. This will give you a rolling start for the 1320.

this is where its gonna get bad. before the mods the best was a 14.9 just headers. now w/ a 306, gt40 u/l, e303,410s, 190 fuel pump, bbk p/reg., rebuilt heads stainless steel valves, dual springs, headers, full exhaust, 275/60/15 in the rear(street tires). and NO back sets.
Somebody needs some control arms and cheater slicks... 31 spline axles would be ideal also... sounds like you've got the right set up for a low 14 second car if you're running stock e7's with no work... A tune wouldn't hurt anything either... Get all the bugs lined out and some good driving should put you in the low 14's to high 13's driving the hell out of it

If he put cheater slicks on it, and left the line at about 4k or so, they wouldn't be a bad idea... But i woudn't fix it til it broke...
