TPS trouble????

Default TPS trouble????

hey guys my car idle surges so damn bad....I made a new gasket with larger holesfor the IAC and cleaned it with carb cleaner......I tryed adjusting the tps but it would not go down in voltage.....the lowest i could get it was 1.455 volts, and this is with the key turned on ...Any sugggestion .....think i need a new tps or iac ???

wow. that is really high. try grinding down the holes on it, kinda slot them so you can turn it a bit more. if not, replace it.

most idle problems comes from the TPS (in my experience). if your replace it i would bet that many of your problems would dissapear. make sure you put it on right, just ask me how i know! hahaha

What do you mean by enlarging the holes, the three on each side... Do i just do that with a drill or somthing??

enlarge the mounting holes on the TPS itself. should be 2 holes, 1 on each side. slot them out alittle bit so you can turn it a bit more.

don't you check the voltage with the engine running, and is .975 a good voltage, or should I get it to .980. thanks.

key on, engine off. be sure your checking the green wire, also. not the red one. i have mine set at .96

yeah i was doing it with the key off.....But yeah ill try making the holes bigger
