RE: T5 trans
if the tag is there also
it will start off with a f3 something
that will tell you its a 93 production
can't remember what the numbers on mine are but it starts with
the f3 , that might be another clue also
also on the side of the case if you look it also has a raised number that states the year model also

RE: T5 trans
ok picked up the trans today. its not a cobra trans, so i got the whole setup for $500, going to do the swap this weekend. now for the scary part. i have a few questions. first, there are 2 connectors on the trans. what are they and will the plug into the same plugs the aod uses? i am figuring neutral safety and reverse lights but am unsure. also there are 2 threaded holes on the back of the trans where the mount will go. will the aod mount work? also, i was wondering if anyone who has done the swap thinks its easier to put the bellhousing and trans on separate or at the same time. hopefully thats all for now.
thanks

Install the bell w/ the fork first and tighten those 6 bolts. Then go back and install the tranny since there are only 4 bolts to get in. Also, install it w/ the shifter off to give you better maneuverability and clearance. Then just put a jack under it and lower it enough to reinstall the shifter from the inside (before you add fluid, or it will drain out the tailshaft). You'll need 3 quarts of Mercon/Dexron III tranny fluid as well.
