Default help help on carb application

im going from efi to carb and this is what i was planning on doing to the car.
i have it 306 with stock style pistons
plan on getting 351w heads and porting them out
getting victor jr intake
650 holley carb. is this a good setup? and how much horse on the engine do you think it will have?
also have .512 lift cam

351w heads (C9 or D0 castings) with some mild porting work quite well for a ford casting head, but a victor jr intake is gonna be big for anything on the street. if you plan on driving this things around town i'll recommend a performer rpm airgap instead. also if your going to go 650 grab something vac. secondaries cause a 650 DP is just too damn much for a 302.

i have experience in this area as my 12:1 306 with C9 351w heads and a 300 duration .500 lift cam has had a 600 vac. secondaries carb, then a 650 DP, then a 650 vac. secondaries. (barry grant is the way to go)

honestly, with your lower compression i'd put a BG road demon 625cfm carb on the performer rpm or rpm airgap and i think you'll be really happy

switching from efi to carb wont give you more horsepower, youll get more power out of those heads and intake and your cam
