94 Casper 5.0

Ok, I have a stock 94 GT 5 spd. w/ 153,500 mi. Just got a full tune up a year ago, plugs, wires, dizzy cap and rotor, oil change every 2,000k. Its been running fine its whole life, never had a major problem. 4/9/07 i started it up, ran it around the block, nothing wrong, no sounds anything. Got in my driveway it stalled, i'm not sure if it stalled on its own or if i came off the clucth too fast. When i started it up agian, it started to SHAKE HARD. I shut off the engine, checked the wire connections at the Dizzy. One of the wires weren't fully connected, and seemed to be a little corroted. I sanded the plug at the dizzy and reconnected but still SHAKES. I have no idea what this is about, and any info would be very helpful.

Just a thought, but did you check to see if either of the motor mounts had gone bad?

nope, but that what it seems like. almost like the engine wants to come out of the bay.

Check the harmonic balancer.

yah i'd have to say that the sudden jerk and possible reverse rotation of the motor caused by the stall, tore up the balancer

You change your oil every 2,000,000 miles? That can't be good.

Like the guys said maybe the balancer or maybe a bad fuel filter? Bad connection somewhere? "Wire Loose"

UPDATE: Since my lost post i brought the car to a mechcanic i often go to. i spoke with them, first they said they it was some kind of leak in the egr valve. Then i called up yesterday and he finally realized that it was the balancer pulley, and he already put in an order for a new one. Whats a reasonable price w/ parts and labor?. i was thinking no more then $150-$200
