What would a car do if the ground that goes from the motor to the firewall is missing???

The ground from the battery to the block should be sufficient but it wouldn't hurt to run one from the block to the frame. That's what I did.

well the previous owned told me the ecm has splices from the old stand alone. (ex-turbo car) where is the ecm?
