bbk SSI Intake good or bad?
I just recently bought a bbk ssi intake for my 88gt. I know it looks awesome but is there anything 2 worry about? I heard that it has some leaking problems but haven't heard from only but a few ppl. Thanks

RE: bbk SSI Intake good or bad?
I just recently got one of these, all around badass...so far..i know alot of guys that get these have trouble installing them becuase of fitment issues and the lack of space in the engine bay becuase of it being so close to the firewall. But i installed mine while i had the motor out for a H/C/I intall and that obviously would make it alot easier. They only thing that i have heard that went wrong with these is that there could be a slight fuel leak at the fuel crossover, but it is a easy fix becuase they then started doubleing up on the o-rings and that solve the problem

yea i seen that that how others out performed it but i was hoping that withmy blower i could possibly get a little more hp then described on the tests being that the car that they tested was a n/a...maybe that will make a difference or not but due to the longer styled intake runners on the bbk forced induction should bring that manifold alife...motor is going in this weekend...i probably wont get to get it dynoed for another week or two...but i will keep ya posted

Ask r.barn on here. he had one before he built his 357W. said it was horrible. you should by a track heat Trickflow, Edlebrock RPM, or a Holley systemax upper and lower... the Holley is saposed to be one of the top flowwing 5.0 intakes out there.

had one, wasnt too impressed.
some pretty big casting flash needed to be ground down
the IAC hit and had to grind on upper to make fit
"unique" PCV baffle desgin lets too much oil thru, IMO
for the cost its a waste on a N/A motor.
It also hits hood in driver side front corner, not bad but does rub on liner a little.
