Will these work with stock 89 rotors? I thought the 03-04 Cobra wheels would only work with 94+ spindles? I know these are 4 lug, but They also have them in 5 lug (which I would want) But I was told the center caps wont fit unless I had the sn95 spindles with flop off rotors.

5 lugs http://www.americanmuscle.com/ch20cowh1.html

Why would the 4 lug fit and not the 5 lug? of course with the exception of the lug difference.I want 5 lug but it would be so much easier if I could just buy the mark rotors for now, and upgrade brakes to cobra 13" later.

I have done alot of searches. And I have read the center cap will not fit using Mark7 rotors. I am just assuming that since the wheels I linked were very similar, the only difference being the amount of lugs, that maybe I had the wrong info. I want to go five lug, so I can add bigger cobra brakes, but the cost of nice wheels and the conversion (the way I want to do it) is a little much right now.

The wheels are similiar. The rotors are not. The Lincoln rotors have a much larger center hub. You need the SN95 spindles for them to fit.

I just don't see how different the center of these 2 wheels could be. If the center cap won't fit on the 5 lug wheel with Mark Rotors, I don't see what would make the center cap of the 4 lug wheel fit with stock rotors. Both have large dust covers on the rotors.

Some people believe the stove it hot when they are told. Some people just have to touch it.

Buy the 5 lug wheels and Lincoln rotors. Tell us how it works out.

Maybe I am not getting my point across clear enough. I know the 5 lug won't fit with the center caps. I understand that. What I am trying to figure out is if I did buy the 4 lug version, will they fit with the center caps???? I know Primetime said yes, but I don't understand why they would since they still have to go onto a rotor with a HUGE dust cap. I can not physically see a difference in the centers of the 2 wheels I linked too. I am just trying to understand.

It is not a matter of believing you , I want to understand why.

They will fit. Why? I've never really put any deep thought into it. I know the 5 lugs won't fit and the 4 lugs will. I just accept it and don't lose any sleep over it.

I would recommend going to the parts store and having them pull a brand new rotor off the shelf for the Lincoln and a stock Mustang. I do not believe the centers are the same size.

Ok now I understand. I was not thinking a stock mustang rotor would have a bigger "center" than oe style rotor with 5 lugs.
