What's the advantages of an aftermarket distributor?
Worth the money?

hotter spark, cleaner cumbustion, more power, better mpg, MSD Billet distributor is the way to go

Yeah MSD Pro-Billet or Mallory is the way to go. Get a matching ignition control box like the MSD-6A and a Blaster 2 or Blaster 3 coil to really wake up your ignition. You'll probably get a very small but not very noticeable increase in mileage.

there's really not much differnce in the msd and stock expect made out of better material, just do like i do use all msd parts in you stock housing and come out cheaper

Alright I was just thinking about toppen off my ignition with it. I already have MSD ignition cap, MSD 6al box, MSD coil.

just get a msd distributor gear,pickup coil,and tfi module and there you go complete msd, and you could just polish your stock housing to get the looks too

aftermarket distributors are generally built to tighter specs than factory stock ones and use better shaft materials and needle bearings instead of bushings for more accurate timing of the spark plug firing. some with larger diameter caps also help avoid crossfiring inside the cap when the air is ionized by the high voltage of the hot ignition boxes too. they're a good buy IMO.
