Default I think I found my alternator..

Will the 3g alternator from a SN-95 5.0 mustang work? I thought only the 3.8's worked for some reason? This guy is saying that it is the same and I'm pretty sure that he is correct. I just wanted toclear the waterbefore I go and shell out a few bucks for it. Sorry for being a post *****!

Cool, I bought my 3g alternator and I'm getting ready to order the power wire and everything for it. Next comes the electric fan .

Any electric fan will work just make sure it has good CFM. I recommend hooking it up to your AC as well so when you turn it on the fan comes on. Just follow the AC wires down and hook it in there. (its by the frame rail by the positive post on the batt) Also I would run a constant so when the car is shut off the fan will stay on and cool the car until the thermostat switch is good. Autoparts stores have adjustable ones.

Yeah I heard that there was a little grinding involved, no biggie though. I got my wires and stuff tonight too, so I'll be already when the alternator gets here. Is there a big difference in power or throttle response from going to a electric fan from a mechanicalfan? I never really got a straight forward answer on this.

Same with mine. Pretty easy installation.
I used stereo wiring and covered it in black tubing.
