IT's soo hot out. I need to figure out a way to roll my windows down. I have power windows but somebody cut the switches off, so I can't figure out how to wire them up. How can I get them down without breakin em?

 

Go to the junkyard and pull two window wiring harnesses out of one of the cars, swap them out for yours and you should be set. Unless of course something else is broken...Good luck.

 

well I got sick so I started unboltin stuff till ti came downI ended up just loosening the motor enough that it lets me put the window up and down by hand. I know it's ghetto, but now atleast I won't die drivin around. Summertime+black interior+no a/c+ non working windows= major hotness ( but not the good kind)

Well... I am sure you haveexposed the wires behind the door rest... then find a sparewire you have laying around (speaker wire will do or something else) about 8 inches long or so and cut the ends off to expose the copper.. THEN use the speaker wireas a jumper. Firstfind the HOT wire (prob best to use power meter But sparks are always a good sign) and the grounds and ground them. then find the right wire that goes to your window motor...I had to use this "jerry rigging" technique to roll UP my window after the switch went bad.... Took me 3 trys... first locked door.. second unlocked,, third window goes up woo hoo.... Ican probably provide the color of wire if you need me to... i have 88GT too

Maybe if I got un-lazy, made some money, and lost some weight, I'd think aobut it.

And by lose some weight, I mean off my fat gut

 

Behind your kick panels under the dash is the connections for Your window wiring harness. if you grab a new set from junkyard you just have to plug the in on either end. I had to do the same thing kinda. i switched from manual to auto windows. That's how i ran mine...... Hope that helps out.
