I'd look into some drag radials next. Have you increased your timing yet?

That should be your next step, if the previous owner hasn't done so already. You will definetally feel an increase in power.

AFRs with that Bcam (or you could always go with a better grind, theres only 38473987 better out there) and that trick flow upper and lower will be a NICE little cruiser with 300rwhp. Well I dunno much about the B-cam but most small cams like the B, E and my TFS stage 1 make right around 300rw.

So what do you guys think it will take to run 400-450 R.W.H.P.? Here are the mods I plan on currently running -
Ford Racing B grind cam, 24 LB injectors, 190LPH fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, trick flow upper and lower intake, BBK long tube headers, No-cats, flowmaster 40's, 70mm throttle body, 76mm MAF, cold air (what brand?), underdrives, e-fans, afr 165's, dyno tune, smog pump delete, drag radials, solid upper and lower control arms, drag springs, MT drag radials, hurst short throw, hayes competition clutch, and cobra radiator. What should these mods get me horsepower wise, and 1/4 mile times? I want an 11 second car, I will slowly build it, but I want an idea of how much I will need to save from my new job .

Also, what should I advance my timing to? Just before I get detonation?

no. there was a long long thread on this a while back.
its gonna takea completely forged bottom end, about 10.5 to 1 cr. some nasty heads, like trick flow R's or afr 185's. a huge custom cam, and either a 670 -700 holley carb with an eddy intake or a holley systemax intake with 30 lbs injectors. and this will all run u if u do the work, probably upwards of 5 grand.

combo will net you just under 300 to the wheels if well tuned....might make 300 but you'll have to get it running pretty well. CAI is money well wasted..I run the stock box and EASILY supply enough air for my combo and beyond...remember the CAI and stock box retreive the air from the same location and some aftermarket MAF units get bitchy with CAI bends before the maf. You want 400 hp..boost the car, or make your tune session for nitrous. Money wise....better get minimum 3000 for your N/A build by the time you're complete with that list, add 500 for the tune, and oh.....another 3000 plus for the SC.

400-450 rwhp on a stock 5.0 block is pushing the limits of reliability for daily driving if you get on it a lot. Much of it comes down to what you want to spend. The 302 I'm building now has cost me around 3,500-3,700 and that's building it myself(and some machining from a machine shop). And it should get me a bit over 300rwhp once it's dialed in, and it's gonna be a n/a daily driver. If you want more power then boost or nitrous is gonna be the best way to go. Like dman302 said, add another 3k give or take for a blower. Nitrous would be cheaper, but if you want a blower car, you can build something with 350-400rwhp pretty easily that you can drive every day.

Thanks guys! I havea couple more questions. Should I look at a little more agressive cam? Also, what kind of 1/4 mile times can I expect out of 300 R.w.h.p. with slicks?
