Faster!!
Hi all! I am a newb here... I just picked up a 91 5.0 Mustang GT and was wondering what are some minor upgrades I can do to give it a little more power. I know a decent amout about fords, mostly triton motors due to the fact I drive an F-150 4.6, which I have quite a few things done to. Anyway, currently the mustang has a Ford Motorsports B grind cam, MSD ingition, 19 1/2 Lb injectors, trick flow upper and lower intake, K&N filter, BBK equal length fiberglass wrapped headers, flowmaster 40's, hayes competition clutch kit, high torque starter, aluminium cobra radiator, richmond 4.30's and a hurst short throw. I was thinking maybe some pullies, cold air, bigger injectors, bigger TB - how big would he optimal? 75mm?, and possibly a tune?
Thanks all!
Thanks all!

RE: Faster!!
heads, dont need injectors till after you get heads. tb i would look at a 70mm unless you plan on boosting it. after heads, and a bigger maf(76mm would do good) a tune would be a good idea.. also a larger fuel pump would be a good idea if it hasnt already been swapped.

if you only got $2500 to spend then i would look into some afr 165's. a bigger fuel pump, 24lb injectors, adjustable fuel pressure regulator,70mm tb and spacer, and a dyno tune. that would probably cover up that 2500 bucks and with slicks i can see you beeing into the high11's with a good suspension. solid uper and lower control arms are a good idea too. maybe even some drag springs but you might be over the budget.
that is if you want to say NA, if you want to supercharge it then with that $2500 you can get a nice paxton novi 1000 and the fuel pump, 30lb injectors, and a dyno tune and probably put you deep into the 11's with good traction.

Ok... Here is my thinking as of right now. I want to do a CAI. What brand would be optimal? I hear the BBK isnt anything to write home about... Underdrives, bigger throttle body, e-fans, smog pump delete, AFR 165's, 24LB injectors, bigger fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator (should I upgrade to larger fuel line?) and a dyno tune. How does this combo sound with what I am already running? What kind of horsepower would you estimate with this setup? Thanks all!
