Need some help. I'm going with trick flow twisted wedge heads. Right now the car is all bolt ons on a 306. I'm going with the trick flow stage one cam. Should i get 1.6 or 1.7 rockers? Is there anything else that i need to specify with the guy that i'm buying these from?

You just gotta make sure you'll have clearance. More lift isnt always better. Put em on and check to see if you have enough valve to piston clearance. You should be fine with 1.7's, but its best to check.

I would go 1.6s with the stage 2 tfs.

i have the stage 2 cam and love it.. i also have 1.6..

Do you have to notch pistons when you put on the trick flow heads? I have heard both and i need to confirm it with someone who has done it

johnjr, how bad does that stage 2 cam drink down the gas? i have heard its pretty bruttal on the mpg

what kind of pistons are u runnin??? stock???i just bought the heads to they say u dont have to on a stock motor(5.0)thats with a cam no bigger than a lift of .540's then they say that u have to notch or buy pistons for them and if u bought the regular twisted wedges there springs are only rated for .540's of lift.the tw track heat heads are all the same except they have better springs good up to a lift of .600 of lift.
