I run a 180 as well... I did it for more of an insurance policy than for performance. If a cooling problem started to show its head I would have 15 more degrees of time to get it somewhere. Plus on my other cars a 180 usually helps highway economy out a little..
I run 180* in my car as well. Just make sure and test the thermostat before you put it in the car. It only takes a couple minutes and give you some peice of mind. Simply put it in a pot of water on the stove. Use a thermometer and see when the thermostat opens. I have tested a new one before only to find it didn't open even when the water was boiling.
I thought that the 180 would even cause computer issues?But seeing that most of you guys are running it and it doesn't cause any, I'll pick one up from work on Wednesday .
